The app uses Google Street View to allow users travel the world virtually and to share details of any place (including current user location) as well as to create selfies in almost any location on the planet.

How to make a landmark selfie:

1. Find a location of interest. You can navigate a map or use a search, try searching for "Eiffel Tower", for example.

2. Navigate panorama or map to choose the best background image.

3. Tap on a marker snippet to share your location.

4. Add your portrait on top of the panorama image. Use an existing photo from your camera roll or take a new photo.

5. Edit your photo to remove some background and to let the background to be seen through. Switch between pan/zoom and erase/brush to remove unwanted parts of the selfie image.

6. Share your location (fake or real) via one of the available channels (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Email, SMS) or save the result image to Photos.

You can share your coordinates, elevation and approximate address as well as an image of a map or a selfie with a landmark (think Eiffel Tower) in the background.

Hints for a better selfie image:

# Find a panorama view without blurry faces and vehicle licence plates. Move screen around to get the panorama to download properly.

# Avoid distorted lines and strange angles in the panorama.

# Choose an easy to edit selfie image - similar background, in-focus, no messy hair will help when you are working on the borders.

# Try to get the same lighting and colours on the panorama and on the selfie image.

# Use a combination of eraser and brush to work on the cut-out borders.

# Zoom-in for precision work, like borders, zoom-out when working on larger areas.
